2012 Camp-and-Cook-Out Recap

Well, we said that if the chance of rain was GREATER than 50%, we would cancel… And it was 50%, so the event was held! Seventeen Team Members braved the elements for the Cook-Out on Saturday, seven of those were brave (foolish?) enough to do the Camp-Out part as well. Was a great time, with ten friends and family joining in. A great lunch was provided by the Team – we had carne asada and chicken tacos, brats & italian sausage, lobster, abalone, scallops, and pasta salad. And we even had one Team Member who was determined enough to show that we are, indeed, a Dive Team!

All in all, it was a great weekend. Of course, we also took care of a few things besides eating…

Diver of the Year – 2012: John West
- John had the highest number of Diver of the Month nominations in 2012 (six)
- Won Diver of the Month three of those times as the only non-Officer Team Member to participate in all events
- John also celebrated his 100th Dive this year on a Team dive trip
